Dear Wonderful Wonites,

Happy World Optometry Day.

This year Theme by the World Council of Optometry (WCO): Expanding the Optometrists Role. The Time is Now propelling us all as Optometrists to continue to expand our scope of practice and our roles as frontliners or first responders eye care practitioners. This we must do be Continuous education, specialization and commitment to lifelong learning.

On behalf of the Executive Members of the Women Optometrists in Nigeria (WON).

I wish to applaud all the members of the Association for their selfless service of volunteerism to ensure that the gift of sight is preserved irrespective of barriers faced in our communities.

The Women Optometrists in Nigeria are Committed to service to Humanity by taking EyeCare to the most underserved and disadvantaged communities in Nigeria and are doggedly dedicated to ensuring that no one is left out.
