About WON
Women Optometrists in Nigeria (WON) was founded in 1998 as an umbrella body representing female Doctors of Optometry across the 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory.

Our Objective
WONâs main objective is taking eyecare to the grassroots and ensuring that no one is left out especially women, children and underprivileged in the most remote parts of the country.Â

Our Activities
Through the volunteerism of our members, we offer free vision screenings, provide free eyeglasses, and manage eye diseases during our various outreach programs.
Message from the National President
WON is about women supporting women through various programs aimed at personal and professional development. Our motto, WON FOR ALL, ALL FOR WON, fully captures our essence.
As healthcare givers and business owners in Nigeria, we find it expedient to lend our hands to nation-building by offering pro bono services, towards improving the eye health of the underprivileged in our communities.
We call on female optometrists in Nigeria and sponsors, to join us on this course to increase access to eye care to over 35% by 2035.
